The U.S. International Trade Commission sided with domestic solar manufacturers Tuesday in the final stage of a yearlong probe into whether Chinese-owned factories in Southeast Asia are dumping solar products into the United States with the help of unfair government subsidies.
The commission’s final determination affirmed that the U.S. solar industry is being “materially” injured by solar cells and modules imported from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. All three commissioners on the panel voted in the affirmative.
